What's On Offer?

Fujitsu, Federal Government region is seeking a Solution Consultant to join the Federal Government Work Take On Team in Canberra. The Solution Consultant will work closely with Fujitsu Sales Specialists across the Federal Government and Department of Defence customer accounts and will be primarily responsible for all pre sales activities. This role will play a key role in all components of a solution proposal.


  • Responsibility for providing approved costing solutions across multiple types of customer engagement methods;
  • Support all Sales Specialists in completing multiple bid opportunities and proposals;
  • Create internal pricing documentation from draft through to approval for release;
  • Liaison with management to seek submission approvals;
  • Directly support the Work Take On Manager in the day-to-day activities of the Work Take On team;
  • Implement and manage innovative strategies to increase business and revenue for Fujitsu;
  • Successfully maintain the minimum required levels of margin and revenue across all work proposals within the Federal Government and Defence accounts;
  • Continually develop leading edge strategies and core process improvements including the alignment of initiatives to the Fujitsu business strategy and values;
  • Act as an escalation point to support the business with negotiations/resolution on complex issues;
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships.



  • Minimum 5 + years’ experience within IT functional areas or within the IT industry;
  • Ability to demonstrate significant knowledge and experience across different business units;
  • Ability to influence others and be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with management, peers, project executives and with third party service providers;
  • Ability to identify potential risks and coordinate improvements, processes and solutions with stakeholders;
  • Well-developed communication (written and verbal), negotiation and self-management skills;
  • Ability to work with ease and cooperation in a team environment;
  • Demonstrated willingness to action changes as required and demonstrated flexibility in taking on other roles as required;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own time effectively including taking ownership and responsibility for allocated tasks.
